vdc-scanning-twinzo

The main goal of this project was to create a digital twin of a 25ha hospital complex in Prešov, Slovakia. The photogrammetry technique was used for the digitisation. Photogrammetry is a method of creating a 3D model from 2D photographs. Those photos must be taken from different angles and with sufficient overlap. The software does the 3D reconstruction. 4000 photos were taken from a drone in order to create this visualisation. The entire site is currently being scanned with a laser scanner from Leica Geosystems RTC360 for even richer and more accurate data. Such model can be used for facility management or visualisation of all types of available live data – occupancy of individual departments, number of cars in parking lots, energy consumption, etc.
